Inspired by the classic Prospector the Broadland has been designed as a really versatile boat that will inspire confidence.
Silverbirch aimed for a design with excellent primary and secondary stability and achieved this with a flatter mid section to the hull but with enough rocker to allow for manovourability. These features along with other more subtle changes to the hull shape makes for a great boat for families looking for an easy to use canoe or more exprienced paddlers wanting a nice boat to paddle. It can be paddled either in tandem or solo thanks to the symetrical shape.
The Broadland 15 is outiftted with vinyl gunwhales, webbing seats, plastic end caps and a carrying yoke as standard but is also available with Ash gunwhales and endcaps, a kneeling thwart and upgraded seats.
Duralite is Silverbirch's 3 layer PE comprising of an outer and inner layer of high density superliner PE (Whitewater Spec) sandwiching a low density foam core. The best available plastics and specialised roto moulding techniques combine to form a hull with the best weight stiffness and strength characteristics possible. A standard outfitting gives a weight of only 31.5kg.
